Letter to Director of CSIS: Letter 13 in the College of Politicians Series
Attached below is a letter addressed to the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). It makes arguments that politicians are legislating anti-accountability and have practices that decrease public confidence and promote vigilantism.
Enjoy! Thank you :)
Follow-up to “Where is the Circle of Care?”
In a follow-up to my essay “Where is the Circle of Care?”, I finally received the information I had been requesting from the New Brunswick public health department (NBPHD). Overall, it took 292 days to process the freedom of information (FOI) request.
A Safe Sex Site.
Attached below are some infographics advocating for a safe sex site to address sex trafficking, sexual assaults, and sexually transmitted infections.
Thank you :)
Where is the Circle of Care?
This piece I wrote for the Master of Health Informatics Program at UofT. It really exemplifies how dysfunctional our governance system is.
Thank you :)
Letter 12 of College of Politician Series
Attached below is a letter addressed to Dr. Tam, the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada. In the letter I am advocating for regulation of politicians to protect the public. A big part of the argument is to prevent white supremacy. Their response was that it’s not within their scope.
Thank you :)
Alarm of Discontinuity of Care.
Attached below is a letter that I addressed to the Medical Officer of Health of Toronto, Dr. Eileen de Villa, regarding the hemorrhaging hours of labour spent processing work that could automated (or deemed obsolete) with a unified, healthcare, operating system. At the hospital I worked at, our code brown meant an internal crisis (or a hazardous spill), and our healthcare system is in crisis. Read below to learn more.
Thank you :)
Letter 10 of the College of Politicians Series
Attached below is a letter I sent to Dr. Brent, the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer of Manitoba. It’s a short one. I thought I’d write something about promoting trust in vaccination.
Enjoy!
Thank you :)
Letter 11 of the College of Politicians Series
Attached below is a letter I addressed to Dave Mitchell, who was at the time the President of Local 79. The timing was pretty bad as shortly after I sent it he was in the news for allegedly being bribed by his Vice President.
Anyway, enjoy.
Thank you :)
Letter 9 in the College of Politicians Series
This was my only international letter on the subject (at least so far), addressed to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I heard about her and Mr. Singh of the NDP playing a video game for a fundraising event and thought I’d give it a shot.
Anyway, enjoy!
Thank you :)
Letter 8 in the College of Politicians Series
Another letter, this one addressed to the leader of the NDP party, Jagmeet Singh.
Enjoy!
Thank you :)
Relationships respecting the fundamental freedom of association.
This is piece that I had on my okc (online dating) profile for a while. I had some positive feedback on it from people so I figured I’d share it here! I capitalized the a’s because it’s quite common for people to assume someone not monogamous is polygamous, and spelling while they are so similar so I figured I’d capitalize them to distinguish them more. Otherwise I think I lean more towards the ENM (ethical non-monogamy) or open terminology nowadays. If I were to add an addendum to the paper, it would be that monogamous relationships can complicate contact tracing (tracing people who may have exposures to sexually transmitted infections, particularly in situations with cheating).
Thank you :)
